The ride
Gary keeps up to 24 horses at his stables in Amanzimtoti and takes riders from novices to experienced riders, young and old. The horses are calm and used to the beach, so no experience is needed.
Rides go out early in the morning, before the beach gets busy. When we last listed the ride (2022) it lasted about 1 hour 45 minutes and cost R550 for riders under 80 kg and R600 for riders of 80 to 95 kg. Confirm the current price and time with Gary when you book.
More than beach rides
Gary also offers riding lessons for adults and children, children's pony parties, beach photo shoots and proposals, and horse-drawn carriages for weddings.
